UNION OF COMPOSERS AND BASTAKORS OF UZBEKISTAN

 

BAHRULLO LUTFULLAEV (born in Jizzakh region in 1948), graduated from the Tashkent State conservatory, having specialized on chorus conducting and composi­tion; an Honoured artist of Uzbekistan, assistant professor State Institute of art.

The composer writes in various genres. We can mention five symphonies, four musical dramas, about 50 cantatas, chorus suites and po­ems, a number of chamber instrumental compo­sitions, more than 400 songs and romances among them. Having studied the Uzbek tradi­tional heritage, B.Lutfullaev makes good use of this treasure in his work. His chorus series of nine parts, based on “Dugoh” makorn, is a good example for the above said. B.Lutfullaev also introduced chorus parts into instrumental genres. For instance, his 4th symphony is intended only for chorus.

The searches of the composer are also elated with assimilation of modem technique of music writing and polyphonic forms (the 5th part of his “Uzbekistan” cantata is fugue). He man­aged to introduce a number of novelties into chorus compositions.

The music of B.Lutfullaev is notable for of forms, links with Uzbek national melodies, the correspondence of the forms.
